My is just trying to be a normal person, with normal hobbies and normal friends. Too bad they have this erotic urge to have sex with fungi.

In their desperate search to become like everyone else they meet Professor Rory, who diagnose them with species dysphoria. Something similar to gender dysphoria, but about not belonging to the human species. In Rory’s basement laboratorium, My meet others struggling with who they really are. Whelah, an emo who is mid metamorphosis into a Whale, is here. We also meet Uploah in the process of uploading themself into the digital cloud. 

HYBRID is a newly written musical about not identifying as human, but as something else. We invite audiences into an Alice in Wonderland universe where humans undergo radical transformations, not only of their bodies, but of their entire existence.

Performed in English, the work brings together artists from different countries and diverse performance practices, including drag, dance, theatre, and performance art.
